Before we enjoy some peaceful music, I would like to draw yours, dear reader, attention to the destructive, murderous evil unleashed by Putin on the free world. Ukraine is currently shielding the rest of the world with courage, but also - unfortunately - innocent blood. Blood of not only thousands of troops and grown civilians, but also infants - over 100 children dead and many more injured. Wilson Trouvé is a French pianist who's "Old Friends" is gonna speak right to your heart and very likely live there rent-free for some time after too.
Elegant through the roof and right from the get-go, the piece swirls and whispers with a contemplative melody and an ASMR-rich production, which puts the listener at the edge of the instrument. French-esque but not blatantly so, the music tells a story that's exciting, but also familiar and humbling.
