Nordic folk meets Far-East in ''Valeriana'' by Små Vågor and does it in the most inviting of ways. Cleverly composed, the track features a selection of string instruments that stand an equal chance of sounding Celtic and/or Asian. Undemanding and simply beautiful all around, the composition elaborates on its fluorescent core with pan-flutes and what may or may not be a sax or a clarinet - forgive our lack of ear, Bath Overlord aka Små Vågor.
