Matthias Gusset is a Swiss pianist who's recent composition "Secret Bond" we are enjoying and sharing with you today.
Written around a strong classical core, the notes hint of titans from the past, the likes of Chopin, Debussy and Mozart. Elegant, rich and undemanding, the piece can be viewed as a kind of an aristocratic outcast, deliberately having abandoned it's golden heritage and willingly chosen to live among the people. The pianist elaborates on the core idea in the most delightful of ways, allowing the melody to linger into minor keys and then back - all effortless, confident and pure.
