Quality piano music seems to be raining down on us these past few weeks, whereas one of the more notable of those raindrops would certainly be "Blue Light - Solo Piano" by Jordi Forniés who is a pianist from Spain.
Written around a classical/cinematic core the piece present itself with an elegant, Satie-esque melodic effort, capturing not only the listener's ear, but their heart too. Elaborating into a second movement, the pianist brings about a change of key along a melodic elaboration, masterfully keeping a some of the phrasal aesthetic. The piece then elegantly returns to its gallant beginnings all to leave the listener in awe and just a few inches above the ground towards its graceful ending.
